My Story

My Reiki practice and lineage are grounded in the traditions of White Light Reiki and Karuna Reiki. Taught to me by my teacher, Dr. Chris Lipat, an amazing healer and Reiki Master living in Hawaii. White Light Reiki comes from the lineage of a Buddhist monk born in Japan in 1865, Dr. Usui. Karuna Reiki evolved out of Usui and Tibetan Reiki and focuses on ending suffering through compassionate action. It was developed by William Lee Rand and a group of healers from The International Center for Reiki Training.

I spent 20 plus years working to end gender based violence.The work itself started to take a toll on my own well being. As I looked to reiki and energy work to improve my own physical condition I realized that my soul and my heart sang at the possibility of helping others.
